I haven't updated this disabled travel guide for a long time because my husband sadly died two years ago. It has taken me a long time to come back to the site but I think that I would like to continue it on. So, if anyone has a disabled travel tip they would like to share please email it to me and I will post it so that others can benefit.

Most everyone enjoys traveling but doing so is a great deal easier for some than it is for others. I always knew this was the case but until I met and married a disabled man I never really understood the planning involved with even the most simple of trips.

Every time we decide to go on a journey we search the internet in the hopes that someone in a similar position would have taken the time to share information so that our time would be easier.

We did find some sites but sadly very few of them were for places that were within an easy reach of our home. So, we decided to put together our own site featuring our reviews of tourist destinations within easy reach of our London home. Easy reach means the destinations could be just down the street or within an easy train, ferry or plane journey.

Everyone's disability is different and because of that we felt that it was important that we told you the specific disabilities we are dealing with when we go on our excursions.

My husband has a physical disability as the result of a motorcycle accident a number or years ago. He can walk very short distances with the assistance of crutches but with a great deal of pain. So, in reality the only way for us to travel is for me to push him in a manual wheelchair. All of our reviewed journeys are from the viewpoint of an adult in a manual chair and his carer.
